University of California – San Francisco – Pride Hall at ZSFG

The UCSF Research and Academic Building is a 5-story, 175,000 SF research and academic building on the Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) campus. The facility is situated on land owned by the City of San Francisco and includes the lease agreement and EIR, with Boldt accountable for the terms within each document. The construction of this new research and academic facility allows UCSF to promote stronger affiliation with ZSFG, within a new, state-of-the-art and seismically safe building. The new research and academic building includes space for dry and wet research, clinical trials, education and a surgical training facility. It is designed to house approximately 800 UCSF employees, including 200 physician-scientists and clinicians.

This project was delivered under Boldt’s unique Integrated Lean Project Delivery® (ILPD) method to promote collaboration and innovation between partners. The Boldt team, architect and key MEP and exterior enclosure partners worked together in a design-build fashion, with direct input from all partners helping to create the design.
