Little Rapids Corporation – No. 3 Paper Machine

Little Rapids Corporation - No. 3 Paper Machine View of Former and Dryer during Construction

Boldt was selected to remove Little Rapids Corporation’s No. 3 paper machine and replace it with a new state-of-the-art machine. The project was constructed in multiple phases. An expansion to the existing pulp warehouse was completed during Phase 1. Phase 2 consisted of constructing a new pulper pit and installing two new pulpers. Phase 3 involved the expansion of two high bays to accommodate the new higher-capacity equipment and larger paper rolls.

To prepare for installation of the new equipment and work shutdown, a 20T capacity crane was installed to help expedite the removal of the existing bridge cranes, support beams and trusses. Old equipment was then removed and demolished.
